The Etna Rosso DOC, produced by Federico Graziani, is considered by experts to be an authentic oenological masterpiece for its refinement and, at the same time, for its genuine flavour. The vineyard used for the production of this still red is located along the slopes of Etna, in the "Contrada Feudo di Mezzo" of Passopisciaro. For viticulture, a traditional system is used, the sapling system, with manual harvesting between the end of September and the beginning of October. Etna Rosso DOC is obtained from a 45% Nerello Cappuccio, 45% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Alicante grape variety. The grapes reach an optimal degree of ripeness both thanks to the local climate and to the altitude of the vineyard: about 700 meters above sea level. The excellent quality of this red from the Federico Graziani winery is also due to the organic method of growing the vines, which completely excludes the use of synthetic fertilizers. The fermentation is based on indigenous yeasts; the refinement takes place in non-new barrels for 12 or 14 months. Etna Rosso DOC is a ruby-colored wine, characterized by a fruity bouquet and a soft and balanced body.
