Ciuri Terrazze dell'Etna 75 Cl

Ciuri is among the fine wines produced by the Terrazze dell'Etna winery, located near Catania and which has always been committed to the valorisation of native species of this area, as well as the recovery of ancient local winemaking traditions also through the reuse of old abandoned terraces. The vineyards are located between 600 and 950 m asl in a cool and windy climate, with a particular volcanic terroir, which makes the grapes rich in flavor and with an excellent balance between sugars and acidity. The native vines of this corner of Sicily are mainly grown, such as Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, but also international species such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Petit Verdot. Nerello Mascalese, however, represents the main cultivation of the company from which the most important wines originate. Among them we also find this wine which represents a particularity since it is a white that comes from red berried grapes, thanks to a particular method of vinification (in white) adopted by the cellar; the refinement takes place in steel for 12 months and then in the bottle. Ciuri is a wine with a straw yellow colour, which is fresh, harmonious, juicy and with a good flavor on the palate, suitable for consumption both young and after resting for 2-3 years in the cellar.
