Falanghina

Falanghina is a white grape that gives rise to the homonymous wine; the vine is grown in Campania, it seems to originate in the Campi Flegrei area, in Naples. It has been cultivated in this area since the dawn of time and from here its fame has led it to spread throughout almost the entire region. Thanks to its versatility, with the same denomination we can find simple and immediate wines, but also versions with great structure and long maturation that can well compete with Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, the other two great white wines of the region. It is an intense and aromatic wine and allows the production of sparkling and raisin versions. Overall, its great acidity and high sugar concentration allow the production of fairly long-lived wines. It is a wine with intense and complex aromas. As we said, many producers, with the intention of developing the potential of the vine, are also making versions aged in wooden barrels, of great intensity and structure, truly worthy of note.
