'Balciana' Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Sartarelli 2020

Balciana Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore DOC is a white wine produced by the Sartarelli winery in the Marche region. It is obtained from the vinification in purity of grapes of the native Verdicchio vine. The plots are located approximately 300 meters above sea level and boast a soil rich in limestone and other minerals. The thirty-year-old vines find the necessary nourishment to grow luxuriantly until the late harvest. The grapes are left to slightly overripe on the vine before being carefully harvested by hand. In the cellar the grapes are subjected to a soft pressing, to then ferment spontaneously inside modern thermo-conditioned steel tanks. The refinement involves an initial rest of 10 months in the same containers, followed by a further passage of a year in the bottle before being put on the market. Balciana Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore DOC boasts good potential for aging if carefully stored for up to 5 years.
