In the heart of the island of Elba, where the Gulf of Follonica separates it from the mainland, comes Bianco Delle Ripalte Costa Toscana IGP from Tenuta Delle Ripalte. The winery was founded in 1896 by Count Tobler and the various properties that have followed have maintained the tradition of the largest farm on the island. The mild climate all year round and the soil rich in minerals allow the vines to grow optimally. This white wine is produced using 90% Vermentino grapes and 10% Petit Manseng. After harvesting when fully ripe, the grapes are subjected to soft pressing. This is followed by thermo-controlled fermentation on the lees in stainless steel tanks and aging in the bottle for at least three months. Bianco Delle Ripalte Costa Toscana PGI is an intense, fine, elegant and balanced wine. Ready to drink, but it can also be stored in the cellar and keep its qualities unaltered for a year or two.
