Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for white wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile and this is possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description

The Clos de l'oratoire des papes is one of Stephane Ogier's wines. This winery is located in Ampuis, in the Rhône valley. The continental climate and the soil rich in pebbles, mixed with red clay and limestone, create the ideal environment for the cultivation of highly mineral vines. The red in question is the result of the skilful blending of 80% Grenache vines, 8% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre and finally 5% Cinsault. The bunches harvested annually are vinified in the cellar of the company; here the destemmed grapes are subjected to soft pressing. After being left to macerate for about twenty days, the must undergoes pumping over and punching down inside the fermentation tanks. Finally, before being bottled and marketed, the wine is left to age for about a year in oak barrels. The Clos de l'oratoire des papes thus obtained is an intense red, fresh and mineral, good right away, but with excellent aging potential.
