'Domaine de Pontheux' Chiroubles AOC Georges Duboeuf 2022

The Chiroubles Domaine Pontheux Duboeuf wine is among the many labels produced under the George Duboeuf brand, a family-run company that is only apparently family-run because thanks to a great and passionate work that has now lasted for four centuries, this estate has managed to bring together under own name all producers in the area. Each of them contributes, with its own productions, to making known in Europe and in the world the importance of Beaujolais, a region of France known for its new wines. The Chiroubles Domaine Pontheux Duboeuf, in particular, is produced 100% from native Gamay vines grown on about 13 hectares of land in the municipality of Chiroubles, in an area known as Pontheux, with a south, south-west exposure on rather steep slopes. Cultivation and harvesting are still carried out with traditional methods, as are all the winemaking processes; all this, together with the particular terroir, helps to give the wine particular organoleptic characteristics, an intense ruby red color and a particularly expressive aroma.
