Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

Pinot Bianco is a grape that truly expresses itself at its best in Alto Adige. And this Eichhorn is no exception. The location and the soil are optimal: the Lieben Aich estate in Terlano and the Eichhorn vineyard: warm microclimate, vineyard facing south-west at 300 m asl, with sandy, porphyritic soil of volcanic origin. The vinification follows the classic procedure: the destemmed grapes are left to macerate for twelve hours in the press in order to draw the aroma and structure from the skins. Fermentation took place partly in wooden barrels, spontaneously thanks to indigenous yeasts. During the four months of aging in oak barrels with the lees both aroma and taste were refined. The result is a colour: bright yellow with hints of ripe apple and white flowers and mineral sensations. On the palate it is savory with vibrant mineral acidity, along the finish with elegant fruity notes; very persistent wine.
