Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Longevity
This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

F Negroamaro Salento IGT from Cantine San Marzano is a label that is the full expression of a territory with a millenary tradition. The company chooses the grapes to make this elegant red from the longest-lived vineyards of Negroamaro, i.e. the Feudi di San Marzano, to which the name of the wine pays homage. The red earth of these areas, strong in a calcareous substrate and a vast presence of iron oxides, benefits from the particular microclimate to give life to resistant grapes, full of color and sugar concentration. Hand-picked in small baskets towards the end of September, when they have reached perfect ripeness, the grapes are left to macerate on indigenous yeasts. This is followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature and one year of aging in oak barrels: at the end of these procedures, F Negroamaro Salento IGT is born. The result is a fine red wine, but capable of preserving its characteristics even after resting in the cellar for 5-7 years.
