This very interesting wine is born from the Kerner vine (that is a cross of Rhine Riesling x Trollinger), from 10-35 year old vines. Manual harvest, cold maceration on the skins, fermentation below 18°C in steel, 6 months of maturation on the lees. A part of the must is fermented and matured in 500 l oak barrels. These are the technical peculiarities, but the wine itself is very elegant, with a full taste and a persistent mineral aftertaste. Intense and persistent, elegant and rich. Straw yellow color, very complex and fruity notes reminiscent of ripe peaches and apricots. Interesting!
