'L'Ardenza' Terre Siciliane IGT Cottanera 2020

Sicilia IGT L'Ardenza is a red wine from the Cottanera company, a winery that stands out among the most important in the Etna area. With a full-bodied structure, Sicilia IGT L'Ardenza is the mirror of a mountain terroir, in which the volcanic content of the lava subsoil meets the benevolent marine influences that distinguish the small town of Castiglione di Sicilia in the province of Catania. Here, on the lands blackened by the presence of Etna, the Cottaneras cultivate their large vineyards by combining manual techniques, respect for the environment and the ability to innovate. Characteristics that express all their value in Ardenza: a particular and exclusive wine, produced in the heart of Sicily, but with a vine coming from the Upper Savoy. The selected grapes are of Mondeuse quality, whose small bunches full of juicy black berries find a favorable habitat at the foot of the volcano. The long aging, first in barrels and then in the bottle, seals the excellence of the wine, in which the intensity of the Mediterranean flavors marries the elegance of the French origins.
