La Rambarde Pouilly Fumé, a label signed by the Landrat & Guyollot maison, fully represents the philosophy of both the domaine and this renowned denomination. The origin of the name of this fascinating white wine has its roots in local traditions. In these areas, the term Rambarde is used to indicate the classic flat-bottomed boats that were used in ancient times to transport wines from Pouilly to the French capital. The reference is clear: ideally retracing that canal that unites the territories of the Loire to the great Seine, the Domaine wants to appeal to distant eras with a product that however adapts perfectly to modern times. It is obtained by vinifying pure Sauvignon Blanc grapes and leaving them to mature in steel tanks on the fine lees. Ideal for opening a fish-based dinner, La Rambarde Pouilly Fumé has a fair aging potential, which allows it to be enjoyed with pleasure even after two or three years of rest in the cellar.
