The Luna Salento Bianco IGT wine from the Conti Zecca winery is obtained from a balanced blend of Chardonnay and Malvasia grapes, in equivalent quantities. The vineyards are located in Salento, in the southern part of Puglia, where the particular structure of the soil, rich in mineral salts and the fresh currents from the sea allow for optimal ripening of the grapes. The tradition of this winery is very ancient and is based on the use of native vines for the production of quality wines. The production cycle of the Luna Salento Bianco IGT wine begins with the harvest, followed by the destemming of the grapes and a soft pressing. We then move on to the fermentation of the must which takes place in barriques and for a period of time sufficient to bring out all the characteristics of the grape. Finally, we move on to a short period of aging in glass. The wine obtained is well balanced, refined, very fragrant, aromatic and with a good structure and gustatory intensity, characteristics that make it suitable to be consumed both as an aperitif and to accompany a fish lunch in the company of friends.
