Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Magill Estate Shiraz is one of the most famous wines of the Penfolds company, an important wine company in Australia. Founded in the mid-nineteenth century by Christopher Pendold, the winery has become over the last century a point of reference for the oceanic island and beyond. The most important rows are located in Magill, in southern Australia, in a particularly favorable scenario for viticulture thanks to its microclimates. Shiraz is one of the strong points of the Aussie winery and is made up of 100% pure Syrah grapes. To obtain the best results, only artisanal and organic techniques are used, both for the cultivation of the grapes and for the harvest. Once the best bunches have been selected and brought to the company, they are destemmed and pressed. The fermentation of the must is followed by an aging of at least 12 months in oak barrels. The result is a Shiraz with good structure and intensity, which can be consumed as soon as it is opened. However, the Australian red gives its best at the end of a discreet evolution in the cellar, in the order of 24-30 months.
