It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description

The Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC is a red with considerable successes and has obtained various awards from national and international wine critics. This label is one of the best wines offered by the Speri Venetian winery, a prestigious production company known beyond the borders of the Bel Paese, which has its roots in the distant 1800s. An unmissable terroir red, produced from vineyards grown on hilly terrain that they arise in the countryside of Fumane, an area with an ancient winemaking vocation, whose fruits give life to a blend composed of 70% Corvina Veronese grapes, 20% Rondinella and the remaining 10% Molinara plus other native varieties. Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC is decidedly characterized by the production technique, known as the "Ripasso", absolutely typical and unique to Valpolicella: it is carried out by "re-passing" the Valpolicella wine on the Amarone marc. Valpolicella thus remains in contact with these marcs for a few days. In this period a second alcoholic fermentation takes place. The Ripasso method gives a greater structure and lower acidity, greater roundness and a higher value in Valpolicella extracts, which make it suitable for aging in barrels for about 12 months. The finished product is a label with a warm and soft sip, with a purple/violet color, very evident hints of ripe red fruit; an intense and full-bodied, deep, almost dense, round wine. A versatile and refined red, for a wine of considerable interest, which stands out for its great balance. The magnum format bottle (1.5 l) facilitates and benefits aging in the cellar.
