"San Zoveto", which later became "Sangioveto" was the name commonly given in the past to the Sangiovese vine. The Sangioveto di Badia a Coltibuono, organic, was born as a tribute to a cultural tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages. It is produced only in the best years. Aging: 12-16 months in French oak barriques, 10% new; minimum 6 months of aging in the bottle. On the nose, strong floral notes of violets and irises with spicy notes of red fruits, vanilla and cloves. In the mouth it reveals a great structure: harmonious, dry and sapid, with well-balanced acidity; very round and persistent with great aging potential. Good tannins that refine over time to soft velvety.
