Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon flute
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for classic method sparkling wines (or champenoise) and champagne: being narrow, with a pointed bottom, it favors the development of bubbles (perlage), avoiding their dispersion; the body of this glass is a little wider than a classic flute and favors the perception of more intense and complex aromas.

Description

The "Special Club" Champagne AOC Brut 1er Cru Pierre Gimonnet & Fils was born on the slopes facing east of the Côte des Blancs, south of Epernay where some of the most precious terroirs on earth are found. What makes them exceptional is the craie, the limestone, which forms the most superficial layers of the soil and which guarantees the Chardonnay the regular water regime that its grapes prefer. The soil mitigates the climate: during the day it reflects light and at night it returns the accumulated daytime heat to the grapes; humidity dissipates quickly, reducing the risk of mould, while the morning sun accelerates ripening; with its fossil composition, it brings highly nutritious elements and gives the Chardonnay of the Côte de Blancs the mineral character that distinguishes it. The landscape is made up of small cru villages, such as the one where the Gimonnet family has been cultivating vineyards since 1750 and where Pierre Gimonnet began bottling champagne in 1935. Today it is his nephew Didier who takes care of the cultivation of the 11 hectares of Chardonnay and the vinification in the Cuis cellars. The "Special Club" Champagne AOC Brut 1er Cru Pierre Gimonnet & Fils is a refined, elegant and complex champagne, it rests in the bottle for 5 years before expressing the rich balance of its components.
