Description
The Greco di Tufo DOCG Tenute di Altavilla Villa Matilde comes directly from the lands with a high vocation for wine with the DOCG denomination of Irpinia, in Campania. Among the lands owned by the Fattoria Villa Matilde winery are the Altavilla estates. Here you have the ideal conditions for optimal ripening of the grapes. Temperate climate with temperature ranges and a soil rich in tuff and clay which gives this white wine consistency and personality. The Greco di Tufo DOCG Tenute di Altavilla Villa Matilde expresses all the typicality of the terroir from which it comes, managed with wisdom and love by Fattoria Villa Matilde since the 1960s. Produced with 100% Greco variety grapes, it is pressed and decanted at cold. For the aging stainless steel tanks are used where it remains for about 4 months. The result is a vigorous white, the straw yellow colour, the intense and persistent bouquet with hints of white fruit, mixed with mineral and citrus notes, the fresh and rich taste describe a wine of character and marked typicality.
