Trentino wines

Trentino, like most of the Italian wine territory, has a very long history in the wine sector. It includes the area on both sides of the Valdadige, from Rovereto to Salorno: we are exactly in the province of Trento. Here the native black grape varieties of reference are essentially two: Marzemino in the area south of Trento and Teroldego, in the Rotaliana plain north of Trento. Enantio (Lambrusco with jagged leaves) is also widespread in the area bordering the province of Verona. In the area there are also the classic so-called international vines such as Pinot Grigio, Mueller Thurgau, Pinot Noir and Cabernet. The most cultivated white grape varieties are the international ones (Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco), which with Pinot Nero enter the prestigious production of sparkling wine , made with the Classic Method, or the famous Trento doc, a pearl of Italian sparkling wine with Ferrari cellars and many others . Noteworthy is the autochthonous Nosiola white grape variety, a pleasant example of an elegant and fragrant white wine. We can say that, on average, the quality of Trentino wine production is decidedly high and constantly growing.
