'Alastro' Sicilia Menfi DOC Planeta 2021

The Alastro white wine from the Planeta winery is a still white produced in Sambuca di Sicilia and Menfi, in the province of Agrigento. It takes its name from a wild flower that surrounds the cellar in spring and surrounds the valleys around Lake Arancio. The grape variety used is 70% Grecanico, 15% Grillo and the remaining 15% Sauvignon Blanc. Delicately structured, it is an excellent wine to drink immediately, even if it can be left to rest in the cellar for a few years, given the Grecanico's great capacity for evolution. This Sicilia DOC, after destemming and soft pressing, is left to mature in steel tanks for six months and subsequently bottled. L'Alastro was born thanks to the care and attention for the environment that this winery dedicates to the vines. An excellent wine closely linked to the territory, this white is pleasantly aromatic, easy to drink and ideal for sharing on convivial occasions.
