Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

The Chardonnay 'Altkirch' Colterenzio 2017 white wine is a product of the Colterenzio winery, which has been one of the most important South Tyrolean wine cooperatives since the 1960s. It is precisely in the province of Bolzano, in fact, that the Chardonnay grapes find the ideal conditions for their cultivation, thanks to a sandy-gravelly soil and an important temperature range which helps to give the typical characteristics to the wines produced from this vine. Chardonnay grapes, although of French origin, have in fact been cultivated in this area of Alto Adige for more than 100 years now. Here, this vine is grown according to the principles of organic farming, minimizing the use of chemicals. After the harvest and a soft pressing, the berries are left to ferment in steel tanks and subsequently aged for a few months first in steel and then in wooden barriques. The result is Chardonnay 'Altkirch' Colterenzio, a pleasant and balanced white, an excellent representative of South Tyrolean wine production.
