'Anthium' Bellone Lazio IGT Casale del Giglio 2022

Lazio Bellone IGT "Antium" from the famous Agro Pontino Casale del Giglio winery is a dry white wine that well expresses the winemaking tradition of the Lazio region. Made from the vinification of 100% Bellone grapes, this terroir wine comes from a very ancient and rather resistant native vine, already cultivated in Roman times; the Bellone grape is probably the same "pantastica grape" mentioned by the famous Pliny the Elder in his treatise Naturalis Historia. The result of manual grape harvesting carried out at the end of September, Lazio Bellone IGT "Antium" follows a two-phase vinification: maceration on the skins and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The result is a wine more than suitable for following long periods of aging in the bottle, a rather rich, intense and ample Lazio bianco IGT, which is characterized by its decisive persistence. A wine of great interest that has obtained several awards, including the 3 glasses of the Gambero Rosso Guide.
