Description

The Apianae Molise Moscato DOC is one of Majo Norante's sweet wines. Majo Norante is based in Molise, precisely in Campomarino; the company has an area of about eighty hectares of land: the purely sandy - clayey nature of the soil and the mild climate make it the ideal place for the cultivation of numerous vines such as Trebbiano, Sangiovese and Moscato. It is precisely from the latter that the Apianae Molise Moscato DOC is born, grown only with natural fertilizers and with technologies that respect the winemaking tradition. In compliance with this production philosophy, the harvest is carried out manually between October and November, after which the grapes, dried on the plant, are cryomacerated. To enhance its aromas, it is lightly pressed whole. It ferments slowly at a controlled temperature in wooden barrels; the final refinement, however, is carried out in stainless steel tanks. Before being tasted, this Moscato requires at least another six months of rest in the bottle. With a pale, brilliant golden yellow color, with slight amber reflections, it has a fresh and intense aroma, with characteristic hints of orange blossom and orange blossom honey. It is an ample wine with a muscat flavor, rich, with clear residual sugars but with a dry aftertaste. Also excellent as a meditation wine.
