Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

A truly surprising white, the Cataratto Terre Siciliane IGP Aquilae is a wine proposed by the Agrigento cooperative company CVA Viticultori Canicattì. This important pearl of Sicilian enology has given life to a wine project that has its roots in the peculiarities of the island territory. It did so by perfectly integrating traditional viticulture with technological innovations. This interesting label comes from the vinification of 100% Cataratto grapes, the fruit of vines grown on a medium-textured soil composed of silt and sand. After a careful harvest carried out in September, the Cataratto Terre Siciliane PGI Aquilae takes shape from meticulous work in the cellar, where the grapes undergo a fermentation process in steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine ages first in tanks for 3 months, then in glass for two months. The final product is a terroir white that has received several awards, not least the Gold at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. A savory, fresh and snappy label, for an enveloping wine, with a fascinating minerality and commendable persistence.
