Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
Fausoni Barbaresco DOCG is a wine that is born at the Sottimano di Neive winery. It is one of the most renowned companies in the area and produces labels appreciated all over the world. The grapes come from the Nebbiolo vines, grown on lands exposed to the South/West of calcareous origin, while the training system adopted is Guyot. After careful selection during the harvest, the best bunches undergo spontaneous alcoholic fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts. Following maceration on the skins and 2 months in submerged cap, the wine is decanted into French barriques where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. Before being put on the market, the product needs to rest in the bottle for a year in order to reach its expressive fullness. Fausoni Barbaresco DOCG is an elegant and intense wine, which is well suited for immediate drinking, but can rest in the cellar for over 10 years.
