Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

Longevity
This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Barbaresco DOCG Gallina is a very structured red wine made by the La Spinetta winery. To produce this label, only the best Nebbiolo grapes are selected, a local variety capable of giving particularly elegant wines. Among the rows of the homonymous plot, the company works in an environmentally friendly manner, preserving the delicate balance of the ecosystem and thus allowing the vines to make the most of the clayey marl soils. When they arrive in the cellar, the bunches are destemmed and macerated. Fermentation is divided into two phases: the first in temperature-controlled tanks for two weeks, while the second (malolactic) in oak barriques. Inside the same barrels, of which only 20% is at the first passage, the wine remains for about 20 months for refinement, followed by a passage in the bottle for another 6 months. Barbaresco DOCG Gallina is a red capable of surprising after long rests, thanks to the remarkable longevity that distinguishes it.
