Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Barbaresco DOCG Starderi is an elegant red wine that represents the desire of the La Spinetta winery to enhance the terroir of the suitable area of origin. To make this label, in fact, only Nebbiolo grapes are vinified in purity, which come from the Starderi vineyard located in the village of Neive. The almost sixty-year-old vines grow on soils with a single substrate, formed by calcareous marl characterized by a color that tends towards blue. Once the best bunches have been selected and harvested, the vinification begins with maceration and subsequent fermentation in steel tanks. After two weeks, the must is decanted into French oak barriques, one fifth of which on the first passage, where the wine rests for up to a maximum of 22 months. To promote stabilization of the complex aromas, it is left to refine for a further 6 months in the bottle. Barbaresco DOCG Starderi is excellent right away, even if it expresses its maximum potential after 8-9 years of storage in the cellar.
