It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description
Barbera d'Alba DOC is a red wine with intense aromas from the Langhe winery Elio Altare . It is obtained from the vinification of Barbera grapes, a native variety particularly representative of the Langhe. The plots are located in the municipality of La Morra, where the vines have their roots in substrates rich in sand and limestone which give the grapes a remarkable elegance. Once fully ripe, the bunches are subjected to careful manual selection in view of being transported to the cellar. By virtue of the use of innovative machinery, the grapes ferment in a few days at a rigorously controlled temperature. For the refinement, the company relies on second or third passage oak barriques, in which the wine remains for about five months, acquiring complex scents. Barbera d'Alba DOC can be appreciated shortly after bottling, as well as following a rest in the cellar for 3 or 4 years.
