Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect glass for light and medium-structured red wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description
Barbera d'Alba DOC is an intense and fragrant red wine, produced by the historic Piedmontese winery Pio Cesare . It is the result of the pure vinification of Barbera grapes, a native variety with unmistakable scents. On the hills of the Langhe the vines enjoy perfect conditions, thanks to the microclimate and the mineral composition of the soil. The plots from which the bunches come coincide with some of the finest crus in the area, in the municipalities of Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte. When the bunches are ripe, the healthiest specimens are selected through manual harvesting. The grapes are then left to ferment in stainless steel for just under a month. To refine the wine, it is left to rest for a year, mainly in oak barrels and a small part in French barriques. Perfect already after bottling, Barbera d'Alba DOC is a red wine capable of reserving great surprises even after 4-5 years of further evolution.
