Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon
Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.
Serving temperature

Longevity
This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
In a natural amphitheater of rolling hills, between the municipalities of La Morra and Barolo , the Barolo DOCG Cerequio of the Michele Chiarlo winery is born. The wine district of this corner of Piedmont offers Barolo crus that produce wines with exceptional temper. The company is dedicated with traditional peasant care to the management of the vineyards, enhancing the resources of the terroir. The soils, in fact, are made up of clayey-limestone marl, poor in organic substances, but rich in mineral salts such as magnesium and manganese. The harsh winters and the strong temperature variations are the basis for the adequate ripening of the bunches which reach the perfect balance at the end of the summer. The grapes, harvested manually in crates, arrive intact at the cellar where the careful vinification begins. The rest in large barrels, according to the "traditionalist" philosophy (and not in barriques, as per the "modernist" tradition), allows to obtain a full-bodied, complex and harmonious wine. A tannic elegance and a silky texture distinguish Barolo DOCG Cerequio which can be tasted immediately, but also left to refine in the cellar for several years.
