It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description
Barolo DOCG is a refined red wine produced by the Elio Altare winery. This label is obtained from the vinification of only Nebbiolo grapes, a native variety that has always been used in the Langhe to produce noble wines. The vines boast an average age that reaches 25 years and are cultivated on plots that include the most important municipalities of the denomination, including La Morra and Serralunga d'Alba. This variety is also reflected in the diversity of the substrate, which changes according to the specific cru. Following a careful harvest with manual selection, the grapes are left to macerate in contact with the skins for up to 5 days. For the refinement, the company chooses to respect tradition, favoring French barriques in the second and third passage, where the wine remains for two years. The result is a full-bodied and complex red wine: Barolo DOCG can be opened immediately, but reserves the best surprises for those who know how to wait patiently for further evolution even for 7-8 years.
