Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

Battaglione Barbera d'Alba DOC is a wine that is born in the prestigious and historic Renato Ratti cellar in La Morra. The company, founded about 55 years ago, is confirmed year after year as one of the most important realities in the Langhe area, thanks to high quality labels. The grapes come from Barbera vines, grown on predominantly rocky soils and where the temperate climate favors their maximum expression. The harvest takes place between mid-September and the beginning of October, after the destemming of the bunches and the pressing of the berries, fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers. The next phase is that of maceration on the skins for about 10 days. Finally we proceed with the refinement in wooden barrels of different capacities for a period of 12 months. Battaglione Barbera d'Alba DOC is a fresh and soft wine that is well suited for immediate drinking, but can evolve in the cellar for about 3 years.
