'Bellovedere' Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva DOC Terre dei Vestini La Valentina 2017 MAGNUM

The Bellovedere "Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva DOC Terre dei Vestini" wine is born in the "La Valentina" farm and is produced only in the best vintages. The Montepulciano vine, which makes up 100% of this typical DOC wine, comes from a single 42-year-old "Bellovedere" vineyard (cru), which occupies only 2 of the 30 hectares of the cellar; it is located at an altitude ranging between 150 and 450 meters above sea level with a south-southwest exposure and is located on a clayey mineral soil of medium texture. After the harvest, it is subjected to maceration and fermentation for about 30 days in oak vats; the refinement takes place first in barriques, then in tonneaux (large barrels) and subsequently in the same fermentation vats, for a total duration of about 18 months. Bellovedere "Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva DOC Terre dei Vestini" is a soft and balanced wine and is ideal to accompany a formal dinner with important meat dishes; in order to savor all its characteristics, it should be further refined in the cellar and consumed between 5 and 15 years after the harvest, pouring it into a decanter at least a couple of hours before being served.
