Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz wine of the Penfolds estate was born on ancient lands of Marananga, in the immediate vicinity of the Barossa Valley, in southern Australia, where the hot, dry climate and a typically red soil which denotes the presence of iron, provide the right substrate for the maturation of grapes with a particularly intense taste and from which the most important wines of the region derive. The Penfolds estate, founded in the mid-nineteenth century, has contributed over time to the diffusion of Australian wines throughout the world, focusing on their particular organoleptic characteristics. From the typical Syrah or Shiraz vines and the traditional Penfolds method, therefore, comes this Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz, aged for 16 months in French oak barriques and in American oak barriques. A dark red wine, inked, extremely full-bodied and structured, with an aftertaste that denotes a pleasant acidity. Powerful, fruity, full-bodied, the bouquet is characterized by great intensity. On the palate the wine reveals all the typicality of the region, on a mouth marked by a good aromatic development, underlined by the flavor of notes of small black fruits. The tannins show a dense and fine texture, with a nice biting acidity in the aftertaste, perfectly balancing the final impression of softness. Powerful, structured, great wine that reflects the expression of Shiraz, ready to be appreciated, has good aging potential, at least 10 years.
