It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description

The Bolgheri Superiore DOC "Castello di Bolgheri", made by the homonymous winery, is an intense and soft red, characterized by delicate tannins and a remarkable final progression. The Castello di Bolgheri company, located in the province of Livorno, stands not far from the famous "cypress avenue" praised in the poems of Giosuè Carducci: it is an area surrounded by nature, facing south-west and characterized by a particularly mild and conducive to viticulture. The Bolgheri Superiore DOC "Castello di Bolgheri" is considered by experts to be one of the greatest symbols of its terroir. This red is obtained from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, vines originating in France and known throughout the world for their excellent versatility and quality. The cellar uses traditional manufacturing processes, such as the fermentation of the must in contact with the skins, using only indigenous yeasts. The refinement takes place first in barriques and then in the bottle, for a total of 26 months: the result is a red wine firmly linked to its land, a cornerstone of the local food and wine heritage; it is a full-bodied and intense red wine that ages in barrique. The olfactory profile is centered on dark shades of red fruit and spices. Elegance and structure emerge on the palate, supported by round tannins and a pleasant component of freshness that undoubtedly facilitates tasting.
