Vinopuro's advices

Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for white wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile and this is possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description

The Alsace Riesling Grand Cru Zind Humbrecht was born in the Upper Rhine Valleys from the deep clay-streaked granite soils of Turkheim and precisely the grapes come from a vineyard classified as Gran Cru for over 65 years. The Humbrecht family's viticultural roots date back to the Thirty Years' War in 1620. Today they own forty hectares in five Alsace villages, where picturesque vineyards overlap with the foothills of the Vosges, prized for its idyllic climate, terroir tapestries and half-timbered houses. The medium-heavy slope faces south/south-east and enjoys an exceptional quality of sunshine which, sheltered from the north winds, makes it a warm and precious cradle for the vine. As the vineyards age, they push their roots downwards until they reach the traces of trace elements in which the underground clays are rich. For this reason, the grapes of this part of Alsace are linked to wines of complexity and minerality. All the viticultural operations in the company are carried out manually and, moreover, the animal traction and the use of its own compost help to keep the quality of the soil intact. The Alsace Riesling Grand Cru Zind Humbrecht is a wine of great class and personality, born from vines classified as Grand Cru of at least 65 years of age. The nose has intense notes of yellow fruit, citrus and aromatic herbs, with a slight mineral hint. When tasted it reveals a strong body, characterized by a pleasant and typical freshness that encourages drinking. It appears a bit like the archetype of the great Alsatian Rieslings (at an extremely affordable price), when the great aging potential has been perceived. Excellent!
