Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description
Bricco dei Merli Barbera d'Alba DOC is a harmonious red from the Elvio Cogno winery which has a strong link with the territory of origin. It comes from Barbera grapes vinified in purity, coming from vineyards located 300 meters above sea level. The vines are grown using the Guyot-pruned counter-espalier method and enjoy good exposure to the sun, as well as a well-ventilated climate. The harvest takes place in a period between the end of September and the first ten days of October. After soft pressing, the must obtained ferments in steel containers. The wine then undergoes a double refinement: first in large oak barrels for about a year, after which 6 months directly in the bottle. Bricco dei Merli Barbera d'Alba DOC is thus ready to be drunk, however it is capable of giving more intense and elegant aromatic nuances if left to rest for a few more years in the cellar.
