It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description
Barbera d'Asti Bricco della Bigotta Braida is a red with a rich and intense aroma that comes from Barbera grapes, a quality once little appreciated, today a symbol of the historic Braida winery. The wine owes its name mainly to the name that the inhabitants of the area gave to an elderly lady who lived not far from the estate, known to all as "the bigot" for her strict religious concepts, not supported by a constant practice of cult. La Bigotta is a surprising, sumptuous Barbera, for important gastronomic appointments; it is the demonstration of the great potential of this vine, often little considered. The Barbera grapes that give rise to Barbera d'Asti Bricco della Bigotta, all coming from the Rocchetta Tanaro vineyard in the province of Asti, are subjected to a twenty-day fermentation process which involves maceration on the skins; subsequently, the wine is aged in small French oak barriques, where it rests for about fifteen months before the subsequent bottling. The final refinement takes place in glass, where the wine is left to mature for over a year.
