Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon
Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.
Serving temperature
Temperature
18-20 °C
Lifespan
Longevity
This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The original name to define this vineyard is Brinate. When young, this Barolo presents aromas of violets, balsamic and small red fruit scents together with pleasant aromas of spices such as cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. When the wine matures, the notes of tobacco, rose and licorice make themselves felt and, in the best vintages, even the truffle. Finesse and elegance derive from the alkalinity and the presence of calcium in the soil.

Production area: municipality of La Morra - Brunate sub-area

Fermentation treatments: fermentation at controlled temperature for 20 days

Colour: garnet red with the presence of orange reflections

Bouquet: intense with notes of violet accompanied by balsamic and small red fruit scents

Taste: intense, elegant and persistent, variable in tone between red fruit, tobacco and licorice, with aging hints of truffle and cinnamon
