Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

Description

The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a terroir wine, proposed by the Ciacci Piccolomini farm, a historical production reality in the Montalcino area and which has its roots as far back as the 12th century. This red is the result of the vinification of 100% Sangiovese grapes. The vineyard stands on medium-textured soil rich in galestro, the ideal nourishment for the vine. After a careful harvest, the grapes are transferred to the cellar, where they undergo a traditional red winemaking process, with fermentation in vitrified cement tanks. Subsequently the wine matures first in Slavonian oak barrels for about 2 years, then in glass for 8 months. A great red, full, intense, tannic, balanced and with a warm sip, for a wine that stands out for its long persistence. Its complexity is exciting, which can be appreciated with the passing of the minutes and with the contact of the wine with oxygen, in continuous change. Excellent drunk today and exceptional if left to age in the cellar for a few years.
