Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The Buon Consiglio Valtellina Superiore DOCG Grumello Riserva is a label endowed with elegance and personality, created with all the experience of the AR.PE.PE winery. The maison operates in Valtellina, in an area inextricably linked to the Chiavennasca vine. At the base of the precious red wine there is this type of red berried grape, an autochthonous variety deriving from the Piedmontese Nebbiolo. The harvest, every year, becomes a feat, as the rows are located on rather steep, inaccessible slopes and not always so easy to access. The best grapes are selected in mid-October and taken to the cellar, where the gentle pressing of the berries takes place. After maceration of the must on the marc for at least 15 days, the refinement can begin. The wine must rest for at least 24 months in oak or chestnut barrels. The Buon Consiglio Valtellina Superiore DOCG Grumello Riserva is excellent if drunk immediately, but its robust body allows it to be aged for up to 7/10 years.
