'Cabernet Sauvignon' Lazio IGT Casale del Giglio 2019

In the heart of the Pontine countryside, in the Le Ferriere area, Cabernet Sauvignon Lazio IGT from the Casale Del Giglio winery is born. The company originated in 1967 from a project by Dino Santarelli, who decided to invest in viticulture, exploiting an area that was unexplored at the time in that area. The region's climate is ideal for vines, sunny in summer and mild in winter. This wine is produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon vine in purity. After a careful selection of the ripest grapes, we proceed with the maceration of the pomace. At the end of the fermentation the wine is left in contact with the skins for a few days. After a maturation in small oak barrels for about 20 months, it is aged in the bottle for a further 8 months. Cabernet Suavignon Lazio IGT is a decisive, intense, soft red wine. It is advisable to consume it immediately, as it is a ready-to-drink wine, however its characteristics allow it to evolve interestingly over time, if correctly stored.
