Description
Camalaione Toscana IGT is an intense red wine from the Chianti winery Le Cinciole . It is the result of a blend that mainly includes Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (70%), to which are added Syrah and Merlot, present in equal percentages. The south-east facing vineyard boasts ideal conditions for the cultivation of the three varieties. The richness of the calcareous and rocky soils gives nourishment to the plants, while the organic agricultural practices preserve the ecosystem. When they reach full maturity, the bunches are selected and harvested by hand. Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are left to ferment in small oak barrels. The refinement involves two steps, the first of which lasts about 18 months and takes place in fine barriques. The process ends with a rest of at least one year after bottling. Excellent right from the start, Camalaione Toscana IGT boasts a considerable potential for further evolution that exceeds ten years.
