Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Cannubi is considered the Grand Cru of Barolo , an extraordinary wine in terms of style and elegance. The absolute quality of the grapes from the Cannubi hill is determined by the particular composition of the soil: they are undeveloped soils, made up of clayey grey-whitish marls on the surface. The land where the Damilano vineyards are located has a high percentage of sand (up to 45%) which gives the grapes intense aromas of cherry, plum and tobacco, evolving rose and violet. Little potassium, good calcium and magnesium give the wine finesse and elegance. With an intense and lively color, the wine has a high polyphenolic concentration. The eye is struck by its garnet ruby red color with limited presence of orange reflections and an ample, enveloping bouquet, with evident fruity notes of cherry and plum and evolved hints of tobacco, licorice and cocoa. When tasted, the palate is enveloped in a harmonious, pleasantly dry flavour, with soft tannins and sensations of body and fullness.
