The Cantalupi Primitivo Salento IGT Conti Zecca wine is a product that perfectly represents the character of Puglia, and of Salento in particular, where the Conti Zecca company has been cultivating quality vines for five centuries. In Leverano, a place that has always had an agricultural vocation and a land of excellence, the Conti Zecca family has passionately dedicated itself to the cultivation of native species such as Malvasia Nera, Malvasia Bianca and Primitivo, as well as valuable species from other territories, but which here have found the right place to create quality wines, thanks also to the continuous experimentation of this company. The soil is calcareous, while the microclimate is favorably influenced by the position between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea. Here the Cantalupi Primitivo Salento IGT Conti Zecca wine is born, rich, structured and with an intense red color. It is made from 85% Primitivo vines and the 12-month refinement in oak barrels gives it organoleptic characteristics particularly appreciated by connoisseurs. Intense, fruity, round, good body, slightly spicy notes, warm and soft, it seduces the palate with its intensity: these are the characteristics of the primitivo that goes perfectly with grilled meat.
