Planeta's Chardonnay has become one of the symbols of the evolution of the Sicilian wine scene. The history of Planeta and the Chardonnay vine thus begins way back in 1985 and, after more than thirty years, Planeta's Chardonnay has become a true icon of Sicilian wine, both locally and internationally. Such an overwhelming success is certainly due to the vineyards of Ulmo and Maroccoli which, thanks to their unique position, can enjoy a truly particular terroir, but also to the wisdom with which the grapes are then worked. The unique character of this wine is further strengthened thanks to the final passage in French wooden barrels which give the Chardonnay an enviable softness and which allow it to age up to ten years.
