Chardonnay South Tyrol DOC Girlan 2022

The white Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC was born near Bolzano and precisely in Cornaiano, a small town surrounded by vineyards and where everything revolves around the wine culture. A large part of the vineyards of the Girlan winery extend over the gravelly and clayey hills of Cornaiano, on well-ventilated and sunny slopes. The Alps act as a shield against excessive cold, but it is the high diurnal temperature range that gives these grapes optimal ripeness. The winery is made up of about 200 producer members and is therefore a relatively small reality compared to other social wineries in the area. 2010 is the year in which the company modernizes itself and produces excellence, such as this Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC made from 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested in small containers at the beginning of September. After gentle pressing, fermentation in steel and aging on the lees, the full-bodied wine with fruity notes is ready to accompany appetizers and business aperitifs.
