Chardonnay 'Turmhof' Alto Adige DOC Tiefenbrunner 2021

The Turmhof Chardonnay Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC wine from the Tiefenbrunner winery is one of the products of the Turmhof Selection, a selection made up of wines whose distinctive character is the purity of the vines. The Tiefenbrunner family is one of the oldest wine producers in South Tyrol and for over 100 years has made the art of winemaking a distinctive feature of its identity, committing itself to enhancing the characteristics of each grape variety. The Chardonnay grapes, which make up 100% of this wine, grow in selected vineyards in the Cortaccia area and in the Magrè plain, where the calcareous gravel and alluvial soils offer the best conditions for a high quality product. After fermentation at a controlled temperature, half of the product ferments in steel tanks, while the other half ages on the lees for 7 months in oak barrels; it is a process that makes it particularly full and very persistent. Turmhof Chardonnay Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC is a wine with a strong and well-structured character that leaves a pleasant salty note on the palate, it can be enjoyed immediately, but has an aging potential of up to 5 years.
