The Chugoku Jozo distillery, founded in 1918 near the city of Hiroshima, more precisely in the city of Hatsukaichi-shi, has always mainly produced sake and shochu. Only in the last few years and precisely since the 90s, has it also dedicated itself to the production of whisky. The well-trained owners of the Chugoku Jozo distillery, thanks to the support of quality raw materials and respect for traditions, put on the market distillates of great excellence and now appreciated all over the world. This distillery is known above all for its Misen Ginjyo sake , which has been able to conquer international experts with its crystalline transparency. The Misen Ginjyo takes its name from Mount Misen, located in front of Hiroshima, is a natural oasis and is considered a sacred place for the Japanese. Sakè Misen Ginjyo is produced from a particular quality of rice, called Hattan Nishiki, which gives softness and freshness to the sake. It is made from rice, kôjie rice and a small amount of pure alcohol and is obtained following a long fermentation. Extraordinary.
