Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
The Ciabot Mentin Barolo DOCG comes from the rows of the historic Domenico Clerico winery. In Piedmontese the ciabot is a characteristic house linked to the production of wines, a shelter in case of rain. The maison has most of its estates in the spectacular scenery of Monforte d'Alba, a town located in the heart of the Langhe. An area famous for decades for the production of Barolo, it sees the presence of soils rich in silt and sand. At the base of the label there is 100% Nebbiolo, one of the most famous red berried grapes in Italy. The harvest, which starts in mid-October, involves the manual selection of the best bunches. The must, obtained by soft pressing, is left to age on its lees for about 3 weeks. The aging is rather prolonged (by law) and goes from 24 to 30 months, a period in which the wine rests in French oak barriques. Ciabot Mentin Barolo DOCG is a refined and classy wine, which is even more pleasant if consumed after at least 4 or 5 years of aging in the cellar.
